  • Jesus Christ Superstar - Begun as a concept album in 1970 because theatre producers were sure to shy away from a musical about Jesus Christ, this musical took the world by storm and almost overnight rocketed Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber into international fame. Jesus Christ Superstar was made into a film in 1973, and a revival production was released on home video/DVD in 2000.

  • Evita - The third major musical collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber, like Jesus Christ Superstar, the show about Argentina's first lady Eva Peron began life as a concept album in 1976 and went on to play in theatres around the globe. • Aida - With the runaway success of The Lion King, it was no surprise that Disney wanted Tim Rice and Elton John to collaborate on another project which took the form of the 1998 direct-to-stage musical based on Verdi's opera about Nubian princess Aida enslaved in Egypt.
