  • Jesus Christ Superstar - Begun as a concept album in 1970 because theatre producers were sure to shy away from a musical about Jesus Christ, this musical took the world by storm and almost over night rocketed Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber into international fame. Jesus Christ Superstar was made into a film in 1973, and a revival production was released on home video/DVD in 2000.

  • Aladdin - This 1992 film based on the fable of Aladdin's brush with the genie of the magic lamp marked the first collaboration with composer Alan Menken.

  • The Lion King - Tim Rice began his association with Disney for this record-breaking 1994 film, soundtrack, and later musical in 1997 -- it was his suggestion that Disney bring Elton John on board as composer.
  • Evita - The third major musical collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber, like Jesus Christ Superstar, the show about Argentina's first lady Eva Peron began life as a concept album in 1976 and went on to play in theatres around the globe. Evita finally made it to the silver screen with Madonna in the title role in 1996.

  • The Road to El Dorado - After The Lion King and Aida, Tim Rice again collaborated with Elton John for this 2000 DreamWorks film about best friends Tulio and Miguel's adventures along their quest for the famed lost city of gold.
